The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received the desired reinforcement. Today, February 6, the first French Mirage 2000 fighters and F-16s from the Netherlands arrived.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
"The Ukrainian sky is becoming more protected! These modern combat machines are already in Ukraine and will soon begin performing combat missions, enhancing our defense and ability to effectively resist Russian aggression," Umyerov noted.
He also expressed gratitude to France for this strategically important contribution to Ukraine’s security.
"The Mirage 2000 will become a new element of the protection of the Ukrainian sky," the minister emphasized.
At the same time, Umierov noted that the support of the Netherlands is another important step that brings Ukraine closer to victory and ensures the reliable protection of Ukrainian cities and citizens."We continue systematic work with our partners to increase the amount of modern combat aviation in Ukraine. Thank you to the allies for their trust, determination, and unwavering support of Ukraine!" concluded the head of the Ministry of Defence.
