The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, dismissed Yevhen Moysyuk from the position of his special envoy for the implementation of international security guarantees and the development of Ukraine’s Defence Forces. He held this position for less than a year.

Moysyuk had been the special envoy since February 13, 2024. At that time, Zelenskyy stated that the position was created in the context of a reboot of state institutions.
“We are implementing a significantly new security relationship system for Ukraine with the world’s leading countries, and each element of such relations must be fully realized. There should be no declarative nature,” said the president.
Previously, he commanded the Air Assault Forces and the 81st Airmobile Brigade. He participated in the Russo-Ukrainian War, notably commanding the defence of Donetsk airport.
From 2021 to 2024, he held the position of deputy to the then Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi.
