In Secondary School No. 309 in Kyiv, during a performance, a scene of a military serviceman from the TCC being beaten was shown.
This was reported by Vitaliy Sarantsev, head of the communications department of the Command of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who published the relevant video.
The video shows a school play. A boy in military uniform with the label "TRC" comes on stage. Another participant delivers a symbolic blow to him, after which the "school TRC member" falls to the ground. This is accompanied by loud laughter from the audience.
According to Sarantsev, when children in schools stage plays about war, it can be a way to realize the tragedy. But when a scene of a Ukrainian serviceman being beaten appears in the script, it is a symptom of a serious problem.
"This is not art or education, but a crisis of understanding who is the enemy and who is the defender. How did we get to the point where mobilization—a necessary step for the country’s survival—became a subject of mockery at school events? Isn’t it because adults themselves are spreading the narrative about the ’criminal TRC’ while the real criminals sit in the Kremlin?" Sarantsev emphasized.
The military warned that war does not forgive mistakes, and one of the biggest is the substitution of concepts.
"And if in the minds of Ukrainian children the Ukrainian military is an enemy, and ’hitting’ him is an act of heroism, then we all get a huge fat ’F’. But war doesn’t grade with ’F’s,’" added the representative of the Land Forces.
"It will be difficult to prove any fact of crime. From a moral standpoint, it is very shameful; it is a blatant fact. In a week, it will be the third anniversary of the full-scale invasion, and unfortunately, such things happen," said Vitaliy Sariantsev in a comment for TSN.ua, commenting on the video in which a boy symbolically hit another boy who played the role of a TRC worker.
Authorities’ Reaction
The Darnytska District State Administration commented on the incident.
"To investigate the incident recorded during the festive event in School No. 309, during which students demonstrated the beating of a TRC representative, the Department of Education of the Darnytska District State Administration established a commission," the statement said.
The results of the commission’s work promise an appropriate assessment of this case.
