On Tuesday, February 18, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, together with the First Lady, officially opened the new building of the Ukrainian embassy in Ankara. The project was approved back in 2019.
According to the President, the embassy’s walls were built as the cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey strengthened. Zelenskyy wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
"It is very symbolic that the new embassy reflects the practically new level of our strategic partnership," the President noted.
The Head of State also stated that he had a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian community in Turkey at the Ankara embassy.
"Thank you to the whole team working on such important and good relations!" added Zelenskyy.
