For the eighth day, SES rescuers are mitigating the consequences of a Russian UAV strike on the shelter of the 4th power unit of the Chornobyl nuclear power plant.
This is reported by the SES press service.
Currently, SES high-altitude rescuers are partially dismantling the shelter structures and extinguishing a smoldering area on the northern side of the arch.
According to the SES, constant monitoring is being conducted in the disaster area using UAVs with thermal cameras and handheld thermal imagers.
The radiation level is normal and poses no threat to the population.
