After the scandalous meeting at the White House, protesters set out to express their dissatisfaction with Trump’s associate Elon Musk.
In New York, a crowd is chanting "Zelenskyy is a hero" and "Arrest Elon Musk" near a Tesla dealership. Judging by the signs held by the protesters, they are outraged by both the meeting between the President of Ukraine and Donald Trump and the influence on the US President by his close associate, billionaire Elon Musk. The video was published by a Ukrainian-American journalist who writes under the nickname Oliya Scootercaster.
The protesters’ outrage was caused by the activities of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which is cutting government spending in the US by closing entire structures and laying off thousands of public employees. This includes both officials and, for example, air traffic controllers and national park rangers.
It was reported that the DOGE staff includes a group of computer engineers about 20 years old who are associated with Musk’s companies. Their level of access to classified information raised concerns.

In the crowd, one can also notice Ukrainian flags, and at one point, protesters chanted: "Zelenskyy is a hero".
Comments noted that protests against Musk are taking place not only in New York. A large rally also gathered in Boston.
