The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office has referred to court the case of the former deputy director of the Scientific Information and Analytical Center "Trading House of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine" from the structure of NAAS Oleksandr Yevdokimov regarding the misappropriation of plant protection products worth over 270 million UAH.
This was reported by the press service of the SAPO and NABU, but the surname of the accused is not disclosed.
According to "Word and Deed," it is about Yevdokimov, who is wanted.
"The SAPO prosecutor, based on the pre-trial investigation materials of NABU, sent an indictment to court against the head of the state enterprise, who was accused of embezzling plant protection products worth over 270 million UAH. The actions of the head of the state enterprise are qualified as a crime under Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Considering the suspect’s international wanted status, a special pre-trial investigation was conducted. It should be noted that within the framework of the investigation, NABU and SAPO seized and arrested the remaining unsold plant protection products worth 46.2 million UAH and ensured their transfer to ARMA," informs the prosecutor’s office.
In the spring of 2022, one of the district military administrations gratuitously transferred confiscated plant protection products to the state enterprise, which were to be used during the sowing to further transfer part of the harvest to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Having received the pesticides, the head of the state enterprise did not register them but organized their transportation to private warehouses, from where they were sold to private companies.
