In the evening of March 14, Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with drones once again. In particular, in Sumy, the attack by unmanned aerial vehicles damaged energy infrastructure.
"Dear electricity consumers! If you have lost power, it is due to the enemy UAV attack on the city of Sumy. For safety reasons, we do not disclose details and consequences, so as not to assist the Russian army in adjusting further actions, but we are working intensively to restore electricity distribution to every home," the statement says.
"Sumyoblenergo" urged Ukrainians to maintain information silence and not to spread photos and videos of the impacts or any other data that could help the enemy adjust strikes and draw conclusions about the state of the energy system.
The acting mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar, confirmed the blackout in the city.
"Together with the head of the homeowners association, we are near the impact site. In an apartment building and dormitory, several windows were damaged," he informed.
