Russian forces have broken through into the village of Rozlyv, located southwest of Kurakhove.
This was reported yesterday by Russian sources on social media, and later confirmed by the Ukrainian monitoring channel DeepState.
According to their map, the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not have firm control over this village.
Ukrainian analyst Bohdan Miroshnikov speaks of the risk of a "pocket" where Ukrainian garrisons in Konstyantynopil and the Andriivka area could find themselves due to the breakthrough in Rozlyv.
As he asserts, further north, the Russians from Andriivka are trying to break through to Oleksiivka in order to cross the Vovcha River west of Konstyantynopil and emerge behind the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
"The situation in Rozlyv is dire. There is practically no control. The situation in this ’pocket’ is generally very difficult, and it would be extremely undesirable for this to end in encirclement or a chaotic retreat," Miroshnikov writes.
