As part of President’s initiative Bring Kids Back UA, Ukraine has returned a four-year-old girl from the territory temporarily occupied by Russians.
This was reported on Telegram by the Head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak.
According to him, when the full-scale invasion by Russian invaders began, the child was with her grandmother.
"Their city was occupied from the first days of the war. Due to constant shelling, interruptions in electricity and water supply, and the ongoing threat of the girl’s deportation, her childhood turned into a struggle for survival," Yermak emphasized.
The father, who remained in the territory under control, made multiple attempts to evacuate his daughter on his own, but without success. Thanks to the help of the Ukrainian Child Rights Network, a safe route was found and a rescue mission was organized. Today, the girl is already at home with her father, noted the Head of the Presidential Office.
