Russia continues to shell Ukraine and violate any agreements. This can be stopped only under real pressure and by increasing sanctions against those sectors that finance the Russian military machine.
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on his social media. According to him, Russia must bear fair responsibility for its actions.
"This can be stopped only by real pressure on Russia. Significant sanctions steps are needed against those sectors that finance the Russian killing machine. Whoever brought the war must stop and answer for their actions – this is fair," the head of state emphasized. He also thanked everyone who understands this.
Zelenskyy reported that after the missile strike by Russia on Sumy on April 13, 38 people are receiving treatment in medical facilities, including nine children. Eleven people are in serious condition, among them three minors.
"Everything is being done to help as much as possible. Only from yesterday’s strike, 34 people were killed, and 119 were injured. Unfortunately, two children were killed, and another 15 were injured," the president added.
Russia does not stop attacking Ukrainian cities and villages, and already this night Russia struck Odesa with "Shaheds", resulting in seven people being injured.
Also, on the night of April 14, Russian occupiers launched strikes on Slovyansk, Uman, Kharkiv, Beryslav, and other settlements. The president emphasized that only civilian objects were damaged, including houses, shops, service stations, etc.
"Thanks to all services, everyone involved in rescuing people and protecting lives. Russian terror continues every day and night. Since the beginning of April alone, the Russian army has already used almost 2800 aerial bombs, over 1400 attack drones, most of which are ’Shaheds’, and about 60 missiles of various types, including ballistic ones," Zelenskyy noted.
