The occupiers attacked Odesa with drones: fires broke out, there are casualties


On the night of April 16, Russia launched an attack on Odesa using strike drones. As a result of the attack, civilian infrastructure, residential buildings, and warehouses were damaged, and fires broke out.

At least three people were reported injured. Details were provided by the Mayor of Odesa Hennadiy Trukhanov and SES.

The Mayor of Odesa reported the attack on the city at 03:46.

"At night, the enemy struck Odesa using strike UAVs. As a result, civilian infrastructure, residential buildings, and warehouses were damaged," Trukhanov noted.

At the time of publication, there was no information about the injured. But by around 05:30, SES reported that there were indeed casualties: according to preliminary information, three people were injured.

"Fires broke out in several places — residential buildings were burning, partially damaged warehouses... Psychologists from SES and the police were working at the scenes," the rescuers clarified.

Trukhanov noted that immediately after the attack, operational services began working at the impact sites. As soon as they complete their work, municipal brigades will take over to eliminate the consequences of the attack and restore the damaged facilities. Employees of the district administration will join in the morning.
