Police officers in Odesa have charged a serviceman of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center and two members of a public organization with hooliganism.

According to the investigation, one of the suspects, while intoxicated, visited a former neighbor with whom he had a long-standing conflict. Not finding the owner at home, the man started an argument with his wife. The aggressive visitor was driven away by another neighbor. Later, the offender returned with four companions.
"The offenders broke down the apartment door, were disorderly, and beat a citizen when he came out to them. During the altercation, one of the suspects reportedly fired several shots with a traumatic weapon. Fortunately, no one was injured," said investigator Vitaliy Orlov.
Investigators of the Odesa District Police Department No. 1 identified three participants in the incident. They turned out to be local residents aged 31, 22, and 20. One of them is a serviceman of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center, and two are members of a public organization.
All three have been charged under Part 2 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — hooliganism committed by a group of persons. The sanction of the article provides for up to four years of imprisonment.
Law enforcement officers are also establishing the whereabouts of the weapon and are checking the origin of the blank subpoenas seized during a search of one of the suspects.
