The press service of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo, Andriy Polukhin, stated on the Espreso TV channel that the Ukrainian Defence Forces are fighting in the urban area of Chasiv Yar.
"Chasiv Yar is indeed elevated, but it is too early to speak about dominant heights within the areas where the enemy is conducting military operations. Our soldiers are fighting in the urban areas of Chasiv Yar — it is a rather challenging situation for conducting combat operations. However, asserting that dominant heights in this direction have been captured is overly confident on the part of the enemy," Polukhin emphasized.

"Throughout the history of the defence of Chasiv Yar city, the occupiers have been trying to break through the defence of the Ukrainian Defence Forces from different sides. They seize this opportunity wherever possible and naturally face difficulties where it is impossible. This may be the northern direction, western, southern, or the city center," Polukhin noted.
