U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that the Ukrainian side has decided to make changes to the framework agreement on subsoil, the signing of which is expected soon.
He said this during a U.S. cabinet meeting on April 30.
Bessent stated that the American side is "ready to sign" the agreement on subsoil.
"The Ukrainian side decided to make some last-minute changes last night. We are confident that they will reconsider this decision, and if so, we are ready to sign the agreement this afternoon," he added.
The head of the U.S. Treasury did not specify what changes on the part of Ukraine are being discussed, only saying that it concerns "the same agreement we agreed on over the weekend."
"There are no changes on our part," concluded Bessent.
