According to Maksym "Mose" Zhorin, the deputy commander of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, the cause of the death of Ukrainian servicemen during the strike on the training ground in Shostka, Sumy region, could have been negligence on the part of the leadership and officers, as well as a lack of experienced instructors.
This was written by the lieutenant colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on his Telegram channel on May 21.

According to Zhorin, mostly strikes during training occur due to the irresponsibility of the leadership and poorly organized training processes.
"As a result, we face a very high price for mistakes that could have been avoided," the military wrote.
He emphasized that all such tragic incidents must be thoroughly investigated, the results made public, and those responsible should face actual punishment.
"’Strict legal assessments’ are not enough here, as it concerns human lives," Maksym Zhorin believes.
