The occupiers have destroyed or damaged 90% of Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region

The situation in the Kupyansk community is not just difficult, it’s critical. As of today, 90% of the city of Kupyansk is destroyed, reported the head of the city military administration (CMA), Andriy Besedin.

"The situation in the community is not just difficult, it’s critical. Specifically, because the Russians are attacking Kupyansk and the community with guided aerial bombs, artillery, multiple rocket launcher systems, and FPV drones on fiber optics. And the occupiers are using all these weapons on the central parts of populated areas, posing a threat to ordinary residents," he said during a national telethon on Saturday.

"Unfortunately, yesterday another terrorist act occurred: a guided aerial bomb, followed immediately by a ’Hurricane’ multiple rocket launcher system - two municipal workers were killed. These are terrible losses of our people, our colleagues who are giving their lives so that Kupiansk can live. Unfortunately, as of today, 90% of the city is destroyed," Besedin noted.

"As of today, 2,700 civilians remain in the community, directly in Kupyansk - 1,700, and every day they are putting their lives at risk. We understand how difficult it is to leave and abandon your home - but no one can compensate for life and health. The algorithm has been worked out, everything is provided - places for compact living, social payments, a support center in Kharkiv that serves over 8,000 of our residents, humanitarian, psychological, and medical assistance. We will be there until it is possible to return home," Besedin emphasized.
