In the Sumy direction, battles are ongoing along the border, where the enemy has been stopped.
This was stated by Zelenskyy during a meeting with journalists on June 13.
"The North-Slobozhanskyi area, which we call the Sumy direction. We are aligning positions. Importantly: there are 53,000 Russians there. The battles there are along the border. You must understand that the enemy has been stopped there. And the maximum depth at which battles occur from the border is 7 km. So that people also understand how far Sumy is," said the president during an interaction with journalists on Friday.
According to the president, the main battles are in Andriivka, Kindrativka, Oleksiivka, and Kostyantynivka.
"Do not confuse with Kostyantynivka in the Eastern direction. Yunakivka is here as well. Control in Andriivka was restored today," he added.
In addition, the threat in the Luhansk direction has been eliminated. Serious battles are also ongoing in the direction of Kostyantynivka. According to the president, the Russians had an advantage, but the Defence Forces are now advancing along the highway.
"There is no enemy movement there. But there are intense battles ongoing. The Dnipropetrovsk region is also experiencing battles, with no advances today," he added.
Additionally, over the week in the South-Slobozhanskyi direction (Kupyansk, Kharkiv direction) there have been no losses of positions.
