Activity of Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups (SRGs) in the Sumy region has decreased due to losses — SBGSU

Despite the fact that Russian small assault groups continue their attempts to penetrate the territory of the Sumy region, their activity in this region has decreased thanks to the effective work of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and border guards, noted the spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, in a comment to "Suspilne".

According to him, the occupiers have also reduced the use of motor vehicles during assaults due to significant losses. The spokesperson added that Russia does not use armored military equipment in this direction.

He emphasized that the situation remains difficult in the Khotyn and Yunakiv communities. Demchenko pointed out that for strikes on border settlements and the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the Sumy region, the Russians use various weapons, including unguided rockets and guided aerial bombs (GABs).
