The Armed Forces of Ukraine refuted the data from Russian propagandists about the possible approach of the Russian army to Kramatorsk in Donetsk region.
This was reported by Viktor Trehubov, a representative of the operational-strategic grouping of troops "Khortytsia".
According to him, the situation on this section of the front has mostly remained stable for over a year:
"I cannot assert that they are approaching Kramatorsk. To say so would alarm people and would be somewhat incorrect. The enemy remains in the same position from Kramatorsk as a year ago."
Tregubov noted that the strategic objectives of the Russian command remain the same — to reach the administrative borders of the Donetsk region:
"The operation to capture Pokrovsk, which lasted all winter, led to significant losses for the Russians. However, they not only failed to capture Pokrovsk but moved around it a little and eventually even retreated."
