Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Unity, Oleksiy Chernyshov, accused of corruption, stated that the bail amount is "extremely large" for him. On June 27, the news agency Interfax-Ukraine quoted Chernyshov.
Earlier, the court ruled to impose a bail of over 120 million UAH, which was exactly what the prosecutors demanded.
"The court rendered such a decision, and I evidently have to comply with it. I will consider options. I understand that this is a serious challenge for me. I believe the amount is too large, considering that my current accounts are under legal restrictions. We will try to find a solution," Chernyshov noted.
When journalists asked the official where he plans to obtain the funds for the bail, he replied that he is "just beginning to think about it."
