The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, Andriy Kovalenko, noted that the war in Ukraine will not end this year, as Russia did not support the ceasefire initiative.
He wrote about this on Telegram.
According to Kovalenko, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin rejected the US proposal for a ceasefire, which Ukraine agreed to back in March. This is also confirmed by French President Emmanuel Macron.
The head of the CCD emphasized that there are two possible courses of action: either the West acts decisively and protects Europe from the invasion of Russian-Korean forces into the Baltics in 4-6 years and breaks Russia’s backbone together with Ukrainians; or they can continue to pretend that there is some NATO umbrella, which is technologically beginning to lag behind modern warfare.
"Unfortunately, the war will continue this year and carry over into the next. That is the reality," Kovalenko concluded.
