In a number of cities in Ukraine, protests against the limitation of NABU’s powers have been announced

Today, calls once again spread on social media for Ukrainians to take to the streets in protest against the law limiting the powers of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).

According to activists, rallies are planned in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Poltava, and Chernihiv. Participants oppose the law adopted by the Verkhovna Rada, which they believe weakens the independence of anti-corruption bodies and poses threats to fighting corruption among top officials.

Organizers call on citizens to express their dissatisfaction peacefully and adhere to law and order. The rallies are expected to begin in the afternoon.
