According to the analytical company ExPro, gas reserves in Ukrainian underground storage facilities are at their lowest level in the last 12 years – currently, they are filled to only 32.3% of capacity.
As reported, as of August 5, there are 10 billion cubic meters of gas in Ukraine, while the minimum required volume for successfully passing the heating season is 13 billion cubic meters.
Over the past 19 days, only 1 billion cubic meters have been injected into storage facilities. Reserves have decreased by 9% compared to last year.
Meanwhile, according to data from the European portal Gas Infrastructure Europe, the fill level of Ukrainian gas storage facilities currently stands at only 17.45%.
The volume of active gas is 55.9 terawatts, which is equivalent to 5.27 billion cubic meters.
