In the Lyman direction, the enemy does not cease attacks on the forward positions of the 66th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Just in the past week, there were about 20 such attempts.
This was reported on the air of «Suspilne. News» by Vasyl Denysyuk, a serviceman of the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade, as reported with reference to ArmyInform.
According to him, the enemy is trying to exert pressure by maintaining the intensity of offensive actions. All of this is so that the Ukrainian infantrymen do not have any rest. The assault tactics remain generally unchanged.
«The enemy moves in their „pairs“. But when they reach our forward positions, it can be several such „pairs“ that assault the position from different sides simultaneously.
Thus, it turns out that it can even be a whole detachment at one point of the assault. That is, so to speak, de jure — these are „pairs“, but de facto these can be large assault groups», — explained Vasyl Denysyuk.
During assaults, there is still no armored equipment. There is more emphasis on motor vehicles. Everything that is more maneuverable and less vulnerable to Ukrainian FPV drones. On their side, the Russians also use their drones. And in their usual «meat assault» style.
«We have seen cases when the enemy command sent Russian UAV operators almost to the infantry positions. So that they can fly as far forward as possible. The command does not spare even their operators. This is a bad sign, as it indicates that if they are not spared at all, then there are many of them here», the serviceman concluded.
