Russian breakthrough near Dobropillya: Syrskyi explained why the enemy managed to advance

Syrskyi commented on the breakthrough of the Russian army in the Dobropillya area.

«The enemy is using the so-called "thousand cuts" tactic, i.e., advancing along a wide front using small assault groups. This has led to certain successes: their groups managed to advance 10-12 km and unexpectedly appeared in several of our settlements. Why did this happen? Firstly, the terrain is filled with ravines and rivers, which, due to natural conditions, allow for covert movement. In the summer, the dense vegetation adds to the difficulty of controlling the line of combat engagement.

Secondly, due to objective reasons, we do not have a continuous front line, which the enemy took advantage of for advancement. However, after decisive measures were taken and additional forces and resources from our airborne units were deployed, we cleared the settlements and areas of territory», Syrskyi reported.
