Law enforcement officers in the Kyiv region exposed a lawyer who, according to the investigation, demanded money from a conscript for influence on TRC employees. She valued her "services" at $1,200.
This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv region police.
The perpetrator was caught red-handed.
"It was established that the suspect demanded money for influencing officials of the territorial center of recruitment and social support regarding providing the conscript with the opportunity to leave the premises of the administrative building of the specified institution. She valued her "services" at $1,200," the press service clarified.
As stated by the police, the lawyer was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine after receiving the money from the man.
Under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the police informed the suspect about the suspicion of influence peddling (Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). According to the article’s sanction, such a crime is punishable by up to 8 years of imprisonment.
