A 52-year-old resident of Lviv, who was detained, has been charged with the murder of Ukrainian MP Andriy Parubiy.
The suspicion was signed by the head of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, Mykola Meret. According to him, "the suspicion is based on objective evidence pointing to the commission of the murder of the MP by the detained individual." His actions have been classified under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, in particular: Part 1 of Article 115 (premeditated murder) and Part 1 of Article 263 (illegal handling of weapons).
Investigative actions are currently being conducted with the suspect. Searches are being carried out at his places of residence and stay. A motion is being prepared for the court to select a measure of restraint in the form of detention without the possibility of bail.
