The 1289th day of Russia’s large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun. A total of 180 combat engagements were recorded over the past day.
The General Staff emphasizes that Ukrainian defenders are steadfastly holding back the onslaught of the occupiers, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. Yesterday, the enemy launched 4 missile and 63 airstrikes, used 28 missiles, and dropped 118 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they conducted 5088 artillery shellings, including 25 from multiple launch rocket systems, and employed 6104 kamikaze drones for strikes.
The aggressor carried out airstrikes, notably on areas of the settlements of Bilohirya and Veselyanka in the Zaporizhzhya region; Olhivka in the Kherson region.
Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defence Forces hit five areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, as well as three enemy artillery systems.
On the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled five Russian attacks. Over the past day, the enemy launched 8 airstrikes, dropped a total of 24 guided aerial bombs, and conducted 252 artillery shellings, including three from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanskyi direction, our troops stopped 11 enemy attacks near the settlement of Vovchansk and towards Kutkivka.
In the Kupyansk direction, six attacks by the invaders occurred yesterday. Our defenders repelled the enemy’s assault actions near the settlement of Zahryzove and towards Kupyansk and Petropavlivka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 41 times, attempting to breach our defenses near the settlements of Novomyhailivka, Ridkodub, Karpivka, Kolodyazi, Torske, Serebryanka, and towards Novyi Mir, Shandryholove, Drobysheve, Yampil, Dronivka, and Siversk.
In the Siversk direction, the Defence Forces repelled eight enemy attacks near Hryhorivka and towards Serebryanka and Vyimka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, seven combat engagements took place yesterday. The invader attempted to advance towards the settlements of Pazeno and Stupky.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out 10 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Diliivka, Shcherbynivka, Katerynivka, and towards Pleshchiyivka and Poltavka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 55 assault actions by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Shakhove, Zapovidne, Zatyshok, Fedorivka, Novoekonomichne, Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Orihove, and towards the settlements of Novyi Donbas, Rodynske, Myrnograd, Promin, Sukhyi Yar, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Molodetske, Filia.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy carried out 18 attacks yesterday in the areas of the settlements of Yalta, Zelenyi Hai, Tolstoi, Voskresenka, Komyshuvakha, and towards Ivanivka and Novomyhailivka.
In the Hulyaipole direction, the enemy conducted no offensive actions over the past day.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy made two attempts to breach our defenders’ defenses towards the settlements of Novodanylivka and Plavni.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, our defenders successfully stopped an enemy attack towards the settlement of Antonivka.
In the Volyn and Polissya directions, no signs of formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
