American law enforcement has detained a suspect in the murder of far-right activist Charlie Kirk.
This was reported by FBI Director Kash Patel.
"The suspect in today’s horrific shooting, which resulted in the death of Charlie Kirk, is currently in custody. We thank the local and state authorities of Utah for their cooperation with the FBI," the head of the agency stated.
Patel added that the Bureau will provide updated information whenever possible.
At the moment, investigators only have surveillance camera footage, noted FBI Director Kash Patel.
According to the Utah Department of Public Safety, the killer was dressed in dark clothing and likely fired from a rooftop.
