Poland is planning to deploy around 40,000 soldiers near the borders with Belarus and Russia after drones were spotted on its territory and ahead of the military exercises starting in Belarus tomorrow.
This was reported by Polsat News, citing Deputy Minister of National Defence Cezary Tomczyk.
«Poland has been preparing for the "Zapad-2025" exercises for a long time. Polish military carried out exercises involving more than 30,000 servicemen. Polish and NATO soldiers are necessary for an appropriate response to the "Zapad-2025" exercises. This is exactly how the war in Ukraine started (with the "Zapad" exercises). Therefore, the Polish military was ready for this. In the coming days, about 40,000 of our soldiers will be stationed at the border», — said Tomczyk.
