On the morning of September 25, the Russians massively attacked Nizhyn in the Chernihiv region with strike drones. There was a hit on a critical infrastructure facility, resulting in problems with electricity and water.
This was reported by Suspilne.
As reported by the mayor of Nizhyn, Oleksandr Kodola, 14 drone strikes were recorded from 7:20 to 7:45.
He clarified that some of the drones did not detonate, but there was a hit on a critical infrastructure facility outside the city, resulting in a fire. There are currently no casualties. Due to the attack, about 30,000 subscribers were left without electricity.
"All services will go to the site once the situation stabilizes, as there have already been unfortunate incidents of repeated enemy attacks. The civilian infrastructure is operating on generators," the mayor said.
Due to the lack of electricity supply in Nizhyn, there were also problems with the water supply.
The water utility informed that water supply will be carried out by generators on a schedule: in the morning from 9:00 to 11:00 and in the evening from 18:00 to 20:00. City residents were urged to stock up on water.
