Russia shelled Ukraine for over 12 hours: more than 100 civilian objects damaged


Russia attacked Ukraine for over 12 hours, with reports of damage to 100 civilian objects and more than 70 people injured. 

This was reported by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko.

According to him, more than 1,500 rescuers and police officers are involved in dealing with the aftermath in 11 regions.

In Kyiv, efforts are underway at eight locations. Four people have been killed. Among them is a 12-year-old girl who was crushed by a concrete slab. A nurse and a patient died at the Institute of Cardiology. Another person was found dead at the site of a strike on civilian infrastructure.

Across Ukraine, more than 70 people have been injured. During the cleanup of the aftermath of the shelling, a structural collapse occurred, injuring two rescuers. They are receiving medical assistance.

Police have received over 700 reports from citizens about damaged or destroyed property. The number of appeals continues to grow.
