Ukrainian intelligence has learned that Russia is using tankers from the "shadow fleet" to launch drones against European countries.
Zelenskyy spoke about this in his evening address on September 28.
«This week, we expect decisions from Europe regarding such pressure – at the very least, there should be a new sanctions package, the 19th one. It is especially important that the sanctions painfully strike Russian energy trade and the entire infrastructure of Russia’s tanker fleet. This is even more relevant now, as intelligence reports indicate that Russians are using tankers specifically to launch and control drones targeting European countries. This is further evidence that the Baltic Sea and other seas must be closed to Russian tankers, at least to the shadow fleet», the president said.
