Zelenskyy announced a discussion on strengthening air defence at the new "Ramstein" meeting on October 15

Ukraine plans to discuss strengthening air defence to protect against Russian attacks at the new "Ramstein" format meeting on October 15.

This was announced by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, on Telegram.

According to him, during the meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff, Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal provided a detailed report on preparations for the new "Ramstein" meeting.

"Our priorities are air defence, and we have not only a list of necessary systems and missiles for them but also a clear understanding of which countries and under what conditions can provide rapid delivery," the president noted.

He clarified that work continues with partners within the PURL and SAFE programs. According to him, PURL has already proven effective, while SAFE still needs to be filled with relevant content.

In particular, Zelenskyy expects that European countries will contribute elements to SAFE that will deter Russia "right now."
