Bail of 13.7 million hryvnias was posted for the former head of "Ukrenergo" Kudrytskyi in a fraud case

Bail has been posted for former head of "Ukrenergo" Kudrytskyi.

According to sources, including RBC-Ukraine, bail in the amount of 13.7 million hryvnias was posted for Kudrytskyi.

Kudrytskyi is charged with fraud on an especially large scale (Part 4 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy. The case relates to events in 2018 and suspicions of misappropriation of state enterprise funds during a tender for the reconstruction of energy system facilities.

Yesterday, on October 29, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv chose a preventive measure for Kudrytskyi in the form of detention until December 26, with the possibility of posting an alternative bail in the amount of 13,730,810.40 hryvnias.

The defense and Kudrytskyi himself deny the accusations, calling the suspicion "absurd." The lawyer stated that his client does not have the funds for bail, but there are "more than enough" people willing to post it.

After the bail is posted, Kudrytskyi must comply with the obligations imposed by the court, including not leaving without permission and surrendering his foreign passport.
