In Poltava, as in many other regions of Ukraine, problems with electricity supply continue. The shortage of electricity affects, in particular, the operation of elevators in residential high-rise buildings.
As of November 9, nearly 150 elevators in the regional center have stopped working due to power outages. This is reported by the publication Suspilne Poltava.
After emergency power outages caused by a Russian attack, some elevators in apartment buildings in the regional center ceased to function. The dispatch service of the communal enterprise "ZHEO №2" confirmed that residents of apartment buildings currently have no opportunity to use elevators.
Local residents report that disruptions in the operation of elevators began to be noticed as early as November 8. Due to voltage fluctuations, the motors of some elevators even burned out.
According to information from utility workers, as of 10:00 on November 9, it is known that 120 elevators have malfunctioned, while the rest are elevators in which people got stuck. Repair teams will start fixing the elevators on November 10.
