However, at the same time, the Shostak family pawnshops sell stolen goods. This has already prompted several police investigations. Back then, the Shostaks bought off law enforcement, while Yanuariy claimed it was all a plot by political opponents.
Candidate from Batkivshchyna Shostak orchestrates attack on journalists during regionalist Zherebnyuk’s press conference
In Vinnytsia, unidentified individuals under the leadership of "Tymoshenko supporter" Yanuariy Shostak disrupted a press conference of a candidate for the Verkhovna Rada, former member of the Party of Regions faction Viktor Zherebnyuk, and attacked journalists who tried to stop the chaos at the event.
Individuals with posters and calls for the lustration of Party of Regions supporters began storming the premises of the Vinnytsia Press Club, where the press conference was taking place at the time.
When the head of the Press Club, Natalya Bolkhovska, tried to prevent the disruption of the press conference, her arms were twisted, she was pushed, and insulted with crude language. Then, aggressive young men started throwing eggs and bringing in wreaths and a coffin.
Journalists who tried to protect Bolkhovska were also pushed and nearly beaten by the aggressive youths.
Among the aggressive young men was spotted the press secretary of the Vinnytsia regional branch of the Batkivshchyna party, Maryna Karabay. Yanuariy Shostak, another candidate for parliament from the Batkivshchyna party, also behaved aggressively toward journalists, calling everyone "corrupt journalists" and not allowing anyone to contradict him. It was Shostak who brought a wreath and a coffin to this press conference. After being offered help to clean up the eggs thrown at the Press Club premises, Shostak refused.
The police, who arrived at the journalists’ call only after 20 minutes (!), drew up a report, and the journalists filed a complaint with the police about the attack on them.
Meanwhile, the former Regionalist Viktor Zherebnyuk, whose press conference was disrupted, later stated on camera that he supports the President. At the same time, when asked whether he would withdraw his candidacy in the 14th district, where he is running, in favor of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc candidate Ivan Melnychuk, he said that was not the case, and he only supports the President.
An interesting fact emerged: none of the attackers touched Zherebnyuk, even though he left the hall and walked through the crowd to the exit. Moreover, while the head of the Press Club, Natalya Bolkhovska, was giving her testimony to police investigators, Viktor Zherebnyuk had already changed clothes (how did he know he would need a second set of clothes?) and was "schmoozing" with some Vinnytsia journalists at the "Tsukernya" café.
And helping him was one of the journalists from the Vinnytsia State Television and Radio Company "Vintera," Olena Novokhatska. Well, who was "schmoozed" will become clear from the upcoming newspaper issues, website news, and TV reports.
Main "Tour Operator" for "Wealthy Homes" of Vinnytsia residents, Yanuariy Shostak, deceives guest journalists
On September 12, journalists from Vinnytsia media outlets – "Vinnytsia REAL," "Vinnytsia.info," "RIA," "Misto," and TRK "VITA" – visited the well-known activist from the Batkivshchyna party, Yanuariy Shostak, to show Vinnytsia residents the lifestyle of someone who organizes tours of the homes of prominent citizens in Vinnytsia.
Yanuariy Shostak lives in the "Podillya" neighborhood, where his family bought two apartments that occupy an entire floor. One apartment is 120 sq.m, the other – 70 sq.m. Upon reaching the 3rd floor, the journalists were surprised to see a grate between the elevator and the vestibule, which needed to be unlocked with a key to approach the apartments. They started ringing the doorbell, but no one opened it. After about 20 minutes of waiting on the landing, they rang again – Yanuariy’s wife finally opened the door.
The woman was very surprised that guests had come, as she knew nothing about it. Yanuariy’s wife did not let the journalists into the apartment, asking, "Why did you come? I won’t let you in."
It should be noted that the journalists came to Shostak at his invitation and even brought a "Roshen" biscuit roll with them... Since the activist said he is usually at home in the morning or late evening, they agreed over the phone for a visit at 8 p.m.
But it turned out, as they say: "Come visit when we’re not home..." What is the "open" and "fair" Shostak hiding from Vinnytsia residents? Or is he just uncomfortable exposing his personal life to the public? If so, why does the activist allow himself to gather crowds and visit the homes of Vinnytsia residents uninvited, peeking over fences?
Has Vinnytsia got its own Strelkov – local activist Yanuariy Shostak?
In the coming days, leading Ukrainian (and Russian) media resources will savor the "revolution" in Vinnytsia, which amounted to the seizure of the Regional State Administration building and vandalism inside the administrative premises. They will analyze, convincing each other whether this is a "victory" or a "betrayal." The will of the insurgent people or the rampage of a mob.
I’d like to say that the "truth" lies somewhere in the middle, but I can’t bring myself to claim that.
Instead of analysis and reflection on what really happened on the morning of December 6 in the center of Vinnytsia, I can provide a few very telling quotes from Svytko himself and the activists. Let the readers draw their own conclusions.
"The head of the police is an elected position; we will choose our own, people’s head of police," urges Svoboda member and former MP Oleksiy Furman.
Elected "people’s mayors," and even more so "heads of police," are straight out of Strelkov’s self-governance practices at the early stage of the "DPR" existence. The experience of saboteurs in destroying the Ukrainian law enforcement system, as we can see, proved useful for "Svoboda."
Young men in balaclavas and with rubber batons threw explosive packages and smoke bombs at law enforcement officers, starting a fight. Nearby stood guys who had just returned from the ATO, and the activists pelted them with eggs. "What are you doing? These are warriors," a woman cried. "They deserved it," said local activist Yanuariy Shostak.
For Shostak himself, of course, the methods of those who seized the Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Luhansk Regional State Administrations in the spring of this year are closer. And judging by the tone of his statements about heroic warriors, so are the personalities of the terrorists themselves.
"Activists went through the offices of the administration. Where doors were open, they tore down flags and coats of arms."
Exactly. In Luhansk, it started the same way – they laid out the State Flag in front of the Regional State Administration entrance so that every separatist could wipe their boots on it.
"We will choose a new head of the administration for ourselves," said a people’s tribune, then added some profanity.
Here it becomes clear why Strelkov, who at the beginning of his rampage in Slovyansk mentioned a virtual "Vinnytsia People’s Republic" a few times, has not yet commented on the events of December 6 in Vinnytsia. He’s lost for words from the surprise. A pleasant surprise. For Strelkov.
And finally – the "minimum program" of the day’s main figure, Serhiy Svytko.
"I have a suspicion that the order not to let the public into the hall and the beating by the police came from Governor Anatoliy Oliynyk."
And how many people were there?
"We registered 330 people who wanted to attend the session, but they weren’t allowed in. So they went on the assault," Svytko continued.
Why didn’t Svytko invite these 330 people to his own home?
About the fact that his supporters threw explosive packages, smoke bombs, and pelted Aidar fighters with eggs – the people’s representative claims to know nothing.
That’s in vain. He knows. He gave the orders himself. And he provoked the conflict himself.
In the end – he achieved his goal. Now, even if Svytko fails to hold onto his beloved seat, he will always be welcome in the DNR. That’s how they "worked" there to dismantle Ukrainian authority too.
Vinnytsia "Activists" profit from frontline soldiers
Vinnytsia’s Lyashko, Batkivshchyna member and owner of pawnshop chains Yanuariy Shostak, along with an active participant of the notorious 90s Olga Malinowska and Taisa Haida, have reached the peak of their tumultuous activities.
When the Maidan began, we understood and supported them all, although it was they who joined us, the people of Vinnytsia, and not the other way around, as they now try to portray. We simply went out in the frost to defend our honor, while they used it for PR, constantly and publicly sorting out their relationships. Who is the main opposition figure, and who is the VERY main one. When Ukraine prevailed, they couldn’t stop, as they hadn’t yet achieved their goal at that point.
Their goal – to become those against whom they so selflessly "fight." Because how are they worse than city, regional, or, why not, Verkhovna Rada deputies? Yes, yes, don’t doubt it. All these recent freak shows at regional council sessions, with utterly worthless threats to the deputy corps like: "the guys will return, and you’re all done for," pursue a very clear and pragmatic goal – to sneak into any council as a deputy. And the fact that they are literally stepping over the bodies of our boys to get there doesn’t bother them at all. After all, they are also supposedly volunteers.
First question: how much have these guys personally donated to the Army? Of their own money? Because everything they spam the internet with and shout about in newspaper pages is our money, the money of benefactors, patrons, ordinary people, with which they simply buy and deliver necessary items to the East. And sometimes they just blatantly PR themselves on already collected goods.
It’s simple. They’ve come up with a clever scheme. For example, benefactors or authorities have gathered another shipment, and who delivers it to the East? Right, those who offered delivery services. Of course, they don’t forget to check in multiple times in Vinnytsia and in the East, and modestly forget about us – after all, they are the heroes, not us, the people who tear money away from their families. We are not the heroes, even though it’s our country that’s at war and in a financial crisis. Let’s recall, who among us has earned enough in the last 3-4 months to buy a new car? I think there are none. But the family business of Haida-Basyuk is already driving a brand-new Audi. Don’t believe it? Check the internet; there are plenty of reports about how poor Taisa’s old Volkswagen was burned by the "bandit authorities." Where did the funds come from? From the forest, of course – you suckers hear, they cut, and I transport. To the ATO zone. Well, not quite to the zone, not quite to the ATO, and not quite delivering.
To confirm their vigorous charity work and to further intimidate Vinnytsia deputies, they, of course, sometimes get creative. And how! For example, at the last session, they brought a whole colonel-chief of staff of "Aidar" named Melnyk. And it doesn’t matter that the chief of staff turned out to be a mere "imposter"; who would dare to check him? In uniform, on crutches, "wounded in the leg by separatists," and personally led into the regional council hall by the Conscience of Maidan – Malinovska, Hayda, Banakh, and the young Svoboda. Even the deputies, along with head Svytko, were moved by this picture, and they say they even gave a standing ovation to the "imposter."
In reality, the pseudo-Aidar member was in the East and in Aidar, but only for 7 days. There, he drank incessantly, and the "leg injury" he received was from his own Aidar comrades. After yet another drinking binge, he jumped up at night with a gun in hand and started "ordering" the fighters around. Aidar guys aren’t simple; they gave him a couple of slaps, took away his gun, kicked him out of the battalion, and accidentally broke his leg, by the way :) Incidentally, this was never written about anywhere. And in the newspaper RIA – "only verified facts" – they even published a huge interview with the hero.
Well, okay, the "children of Lieutenant Schmidt" syndrome will wander Ukraine for a long time. And yet, a couple of words about the criminal culmination of our fighters for new foreign cars, deputy badges, and thriving pawnshops. Recently, a very bad and sad event occurred for our Don Quixotes. Their leader and patron-employer Serhiy Svytko predictably lost another court case. I won’t go into details, just a few words. All his decisions on dismissing doctors and teachers and appointing new people in their places were deemed illegal. So what, you might ask? They canceled it, and that’s that. The man tried. He didn’t sleep at night, fought corruption. The answer to this will come at the end of the piece.
Now about the crime. The court decision turned out to be so serious that our heroes, threatening another Maidan and all the battalions, went to the deputy who won the case against their boss. Of course, as you understand, they didn’t bring any Maidans with them; Vinnytsia residents aren’t complete fools and have long intuitively sensed these pirouettes of big Vinnytsia politicians. There, they openly said they would hang him in the square along with his children.
And now, the earlier promised answer to the question of what drove them to such a desperate step. It’s very simple. They need to return money to the people they placed in the positions of the dismissed doctors. And that money, as you understand, is either gone – well, new foreign cars, outfits, mascara, lipstick, whiskey, cigars. Or it’s simply in turnover – well, new pawnshops, a small store, a sewing workshop.
P.S. For those who understand everything and agree – share the article on social media, save the text beforehand, as RIA will delete it in a couple of minutes. And let’s friendly participate in the flash mob action. Collect dry bread for the fake activists. The collection is as always – Sunday at 12:00 at Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred Square.
