On April 16, a presidential candidate filed a lawsuit against the Chernihiv TV channel "Dytynets".
This was reported on the channel’s Facebook page.
"Valeriy Dubil, as promised at the press conference, submitted materials to the court (not personally, but through a trusted person, Y. Tymoshenko). However, the MP decided not to prove the falsehood of Mr. Yakovenko’s words, who claimed that Dubil attempted to support Poroshenko in the elections, but rather a violation by ’Dytynets’, which broadcasted this statement," the channel’s message said.
The court denied Yulia Tymoshenko’s claim and did not recognize the actions of the TV channel as illegal.
As reported by PIK, one of the representatives of the UDAR party in Chernihiv, Oleksandr Yakovenko, stated that the Member of Parliament from Chernihiv, Valeriy Dubil from "Batkivshchyna", offered support to presidential candidate Petro Poroshenko in the upcoming elections.
It should be noted that Yakovenko is the formal head of Petro Poroshenko’s election headquarters in the Chernihiv region.
In a phone comment to PIK, Valeriy Dubil stated that this statement by Yakovenko was provocation.
The statement by Yakovenko was posted on the "Dytynets" TV channel. As it is known, the "Dytynets" TV channel is influenced by the Member of the Ukrainian Parliament, Vladyslav Atroshenko.
As previously reported, in Chernihiv, the team of MP Vladyslav Atroshenko is also involved in the management of Petro Poroshenko’s candidate headquarters.
And the campaign of Tymoshenko in the Chernihiv region is led by the MP from "Batkivshchyna", Valeriy Dubil, who, incidentally, has complicated personal relationships with Atroshenko.
