The occupiers appointed a Yanukovych-era bandit as honorary boxing president in Berdyansk

The criminal authority from the times of fugitive president Viktor Yanukovych, Armen Sarkisyan, nicknamed Armen Horlivskyi, has arrived in temporarily occupied Berdyansk.

The organizer of "titushky" has been wanted in Ukraine since 2014 as one of the organizers of the killings on the Maidan.

In the video, the occupiers labeled Sarkisyan as the honorary president of the Berdyansk Boxing Federation. The purpose of the visit was stated as aiding local boxers.

"I hope this will not be my last trip, but the beginning of a good tradition. Boxing is a very courageous sport. Train hard," said Sarkisyan.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, Sarkisyan’s real goal is to establish control over prisons in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

One of the main directions of his activity is the creation of a new "private military company." It is expected that within a limited time, the new structure will recruit a significant number of newcomers. The model for the project is supposed to be the Wagner PMC.

The "project" is supposed to reinforce the occupation contingent and create internal competition among Russian PMCs. The sponsor of the new PMC is the Russian-Armenian businessman Samvel Karapetyan.

In 2021, Sarkisyan’s ’titushky’ attacked a news crew from the informational agency "Great Kyiv" when they arrived at the Stolychnyi market.
