The year 2025 is gradually gaining pace, and there are only one and a half months left until spring. And that means we don’t have long to wait for new gadgets from Apple.
This time of year will delight us with a scattering of truly interesting devices, many of which are anticipated and will be welcomed at least for their attractive price. You must agree, it’s great when there’s an opportunity to buy something from the Apple ecosystem at a lower cost. To make it easier for you to wait for the fresh Apples, we have gathered all the latest leaks about Apple’s spring devices and invite you to get acquainted with them.
Specifications of iPhone SE 4
The most anticipated Apple device expected to be released in spring 2025 is, of course, the iPhone SE 4 or iPhone 16E. It’s still unclear what exactly Cupertino will call their new smartphone, but the fact remains: it will be the cheapest in the company’s phone lineup and will mark the final abandonment of Touch ID in iPhones. The device will feature a 6.1-inch OLED display, Face ID, and a single camera. Essentially, from the back, it will resemble the iPhone XR, but unlike the latter, it will have a straight-edged casing.

Initially, insiders believed that iPhone SE 4 would feature a Face ID notch like the iPhone 14, instead of Dynamic Island, but the latest leaks refute this. Evan Blass reports that the front panel of iPhone SE 4 will be designed in the style of modern company smartphones and equipped with Dynamic Island. Honestly, I’ve been considering buying an iPhone for a couple of months and was eager to see the new SE, but the screen notch made me reconsider this idea.
Now, I seriously want to wait for the iPhone SE 4 to see it in person, and I will likely choose it as it will have a modern look. Moreover, the new iPhone will be powered by the Apple A18 processor with 8 GB of RAM. This setup is necessary for running the Apple Intelligence neural network. It remains to be seen how the iPhone SE 4 will perform in terms of battery life and what Apple will charge for it. According to leaks, this smartphone could be the ideal choice for many.
New iPad 2025

Another interesting device that Apple will unveil in spring 2025 is the basic iPad 11. The previous iPad 10 model was presented in autumn 2022 and has become quite outdated. Just think of the processor from the iPhone 12. It might be suitable for simple games, watching movies, and reading books, but you can’t expect much more from it. Plus, the chipset’s durability is nearly exhausted.
According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, the new iPad will feature the Apple A17 Pro processor and 8 GB of RAM — the minimal setup for running the Apple Intelligence neural network. In all other aspects, it will be the same familiar basic iPad with an air gap in the screen as we’ve known for the past two years. I hope Apple updates the case colors at least. I’m looking for something new and fresh. The old ones have become stale over the years.
What iPad Air 2025 Will Be Like
In spring 2025, Apple is also expected to update another iPad — the iPad Air. This model is positioned between the Pro and the regular one. According to preliminary data, the iPad Air 2025 was supposed to come with two screen sizes: 11 and 13 inches, which is not new to us, and with the Apple M4 processor, like in the iPad Pro. However, according to Evan Blass, Apple decided against this move. Apparently, the company fears that the Air might significantly eat into Pro sales. As a result, it was decided to use last year’s Apple M3 processor in the iPad Air, which is currently only installed in the MacBook Air.

All other computers and even the iPad Pro have long been running on M4. Does this mean the tablet will be worse because it uses M3? No, no, and no. The durability of these chipsets is so great, and there’s so little software for iPads that can fully utilize them, that for most users its performance will suffice for a long time. You’ll more likely want to buy something new before the M3 on the iPad starts to lag. As you can see, rumors may remain just rumors, and Apple might decide on entirely different innovations, but the tablets and iPhone SE 4 remain equally interesting.
At least I already know for sure that I won’t be buying anything before the release of the iPad 11 and the new iPhone SE. I’ll take a look at the opportunities that the devices of 2025 will offer, and only then decide on a purchase. The iPad 11 certainly looks better than the iPad 10 according to leaks, and the iPhone SE 4, with access to Apple Intelligence and a more powerful chipset, seems more preferable than the iPhone 15. So, let’s wait for March-April and a small scattering of new products from Apple.
