Ukrainian military will be prohibited from publishing certain information on the Internet
According to the law, military personnel are not allowed to disseminate information in the media and on the Internet that allows them to identify geospatial data on military facilities and the nature of the Armed Forces’ tasks.
On Thursday, February 22, in the first reading, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill aimed at ensuring social protection for military personnel and police officers. In addition to increasing their rights, these individuals will be prohibited from posting certain information on the Internet. People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported this on Telegram .
He emphasized that bill No. 10313 contains a provision according to which military personnel are deprived of the opportunity to disseminate information through the media and the Internet that can be used to identify them (including data that must be processed, analyzed and summarized using specialized software). Among them:
- geospatial data on military facilities, military units (units) and military personnel when performing their assigned tasks;
- the nature of these tasks and the forces and means involved in their implementation.
In addition, the bill provides for regulation of the conditions for providing military personnel with one-time leave in the event of the birth of a child while maintaining the full amount of monetary allowance, as well as issues relating to the calculation of pensions for military personnel.
