Judge of the Suvorov District Court Snizhanna (Snizhana in the court register) Alina received a car worth UAH 800,000 as a gift during the war.

The editors learned about this from the judge’s declaration for 2022, which she filed in 2024.

There were other strange things in the judge’s declaration, which we will discuss below. This is not the first time Snizhanna Alina has filed such tax documents. For example, in 2015, three apartments belonging to her husband Mykhailo Alin, an Odesa lawyer, suddenly appeared in her declaration. The husband of Snizhanna Alina, a judge of the Suvorovskyi District Court of Odesa, Mykhailo Alin, has been the owner of real estate since 2010, which the judge had not previously indicated in her declarations.

In her declarations for 2013-2014, Judge Alina indicated that her husband owned only one apartment of 65 sq. m. In the electronic declaration published on the NAPC website, Mykhailo Alin is listed as the owner of four apartments, a garage and a land plot. Moreover, by 2015 (the year for which the e-declaration was submitted), he had become the owner of four properties that the judge did not indicate in her declarations.

Thus, according to the judge’s e-declaration for 2015, her husband acquired the right to a 68 sq m apartment at 30 Zaporizhska Street in 2010. In 2012, he bought a 29.7 sq m garage, and the following year - a plot of land in the garden association "Zhurnalist" in the village of Nova Dofinivka near Odesa. In early 2014, he became the owner of a 147.3 sq m apartment at 7 Prokhorovskyi Lane in Odesa. In the summer of 2015, he acquired a 37.7 sq m apartment at 45 Hretska Street, and in June 2016, a 20 sq m apartment at 8 Uspenska Street.

The judge herself did not own any real estate. At the same time, she drives a Nissan X-Trail (2007) for 191 thousand hryvnias. At the same time, her husband bought a new KIA Opirus for UAH 202 thousand.

Interestingly, the apartment in Prokhorovskyi Lane is home to the Alin & Co Law Firm, where Mykhailo Alin is a director and his parents, Larysa and Valeriy Alin, are listed as founders.

Interestingly, Valeriy Alin died in November 2021, but he is still listed as the owner of both the law firm and the apartment. That is, no one has inherited the property. Snizhanna Alina included this information in her 2022 declaration.

In her reporting to the NACP, the judge stated that she did not own or use anything, which is not true.
Judge Snizhanna Alina declared a salary of UAH 1.64 million in 2022. At the same time, the judge concealed information about her husband’s income. Allegedly, he did not provide her with this information.
However, the judge declared a gift she received during the war. It was a Lexus RX 350 (2014) for 800 thousand hryvnias. Alina received it in November 2022. Before that, she had bought and sold another vehicle for UAH 480,000.

In 2024, the judge declared changes in her property status. She allegedly donated a car for 604 thousand hryvnias.

Judge Snizhanna Alina, like other judges of the Suvorov District Court of Odesa, is under the watchful eye of law enforcement. For example, the representative of Themis has already tarnished herself with a shameful decision regarding Oleh Semyrenko, an Odesa resident who committed an accident in a BMW M5 in 2017. Judge Alina released the man without punishment.

Due to impunity, Semyrenko would commit another accident the following year with the driver and pedestrians injured at a speed of 139.2 km/h. Then the Prymorskyi District Court of Odesa will imprison him for 5 years. The appeal extended the sentence by another 1.5 years.
