This was stated by Czech President Petr Pavel, the ČTK news agency reports.
According to the Czech President, “as of this morning we have collected the total amount for the purchase of all ammunition, 800 thousand pieces.”
He added that the Czech government will then sign a memorandum with all countries that have joined the initiative, and there are 18 of them, and will provide detailed information about the schedule and further steps. Pavel refused to clarify exactly who gave and how much.
The Czech President predicts that ammunition should arrive in Ukraine “in the coming weeks.”
“It will now depend on the skill of our companies and the Ministry of Defence to speed up the whole process,” he added.
