An enemy drone hit an industrial facility in the Odesa region: a fire occurred

On the evening of March 9, the Russian occupiers staged another attack in the Odesa region using Shahed kamikaze attack drones. The defenders have shot down most of the enemy UAVs, but there are also some hits in the region.

As a result of a strike by one of the drones on an industrial facility in the Odesa region, a building was damaged and a fire broke out at the landing site. The Defence Forces of southern Ukraine reported this on Telegram .

According to the military, employees of the State Emergency Service quickly extinguished the fire at the scene of the shelling. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

Another drone struck an open area in the Nikolaev region. The attack damaged power lines. Restoration work is underway at the scene of the incident.

The Defence Forces of southern Ukraine noted that Russian terrorists launched drones along traditional routes with complex maneuvers. In the operational zone of the Southern Defence Forces, air defense units intensively repelled a massive attack by drones for more than 4.5 hours, coming both from the sea and from the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region.

Air defense forces destroyed 20 UAVs, of which 11 were in the Odesa region, 6 in the Mykolaiv region, 2 in the Kherson region and one more in the Dnipropetrovsk region. At the same time, the military noted that the occupiers insidiously directed attack drones through residential areas and industrial areas of populated areas, which made it difficult for the air defense forces to operate.
