
The air defence forces repelled another attack by enemy Shahed-type kamikaze drones, destroying 17 out of 22 targets in the Ukrainian sky. The Russian attack continued from Sunday evening until Monday night, March 17-18.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The occupiers also launched rocket attacks, causing destruction and casualties.
On Monday night, the enemy attacked the Kharkiv region with five S-300/S-400 anti-aircraft guided missiles, and two Kh-59 guided missiles - the Sumy region. And 22 “martyrs” were launched from Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russian Federation.
Anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force and Ground Forces, mobile fire groups of the Defence Forces, and electronic warfare equipment were involved in repelling the air attack.
As a result of combat work, the defenders shot down 17 drones within the Kyiv, Poltava, Khmelnitsk, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Dnipro, Vynnytsia, Zaporizhzhya, and Rivne regions.
