Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine detained a former bodyguard of a Russian dungeon in Kherson. He observed the cells in which imprisoned resistance members in the region were held, tortured them and tried to extract their agreement to cooperate.

The attacker was informed of suspicion under Part 7 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (collaboration activities, voluntary occupation by a citizen of Ukraine of a position in illegal law enforcement agencies created in temporarily occupied territory). He faces up to 15 years in prison, the SSU reported on Telegram .

The investigation found that the attacker had already planned his future. After the de-occupation of the regional center, he burned his “prison guard” ID and moved to a rented apartment to cover his tracks. In January 2025, he will turn 50 years old - then the collaborator was going to go abroad as an immigrant from the south.

But the Ukrainian special services ruined his ideal plans. During the search, a Russian-style uniform issued by the occupiers was confiscated from the man. He is currently in custody.
