The head of the French National Assembly, Yael Braun-Pivet, arrived in Kyiv on the morning of March 28. She called the purpose of the visit the support of the Ukrainian people by the French parliament.

In turn , Stefanchuk expressed gratitude to France for supporting Ukraine and, in particular, to the French parliament for supporting the signed agreement on security guarantees between the countries.

“We discussed cooperation in the defense sector. I noted that I am counting on further supplies of weapons and military equipment, as well as the start of long-term projects with French companies in the military-industrial complex. I paid special attention to the defense needs of Ukraine,” the press service of the Ukrainian parliament quotes the speaker of the Council .

According to Stefanchuk, first of all we are talking about protecting the Ukrainian sky and additional air defense systems, long-range missiles, air support for Ukraine and strengthening the capabilities of tactical aviation.

In addition, he thanked Paris for the decision to freeze the assets of the Russian Federation and noted that it is now important to find a legal mechanism to direct these assets to the restoration of Ukraine and compensation for damage.
