OC "South" spoke about the Russian Federation’s preparations for a massive attack
On March 29, the occupiers massively attacked the territory of Ukraine, launching kamikaze drones of the Shahed type and missiles of various types. Before this, the Russian military carried out aerial reconnaissance.
This was reported by the speaker of the Defence Forces of the south of Ukraine Natalya Humenyuk during the telethon.
She noted that during the night attack, the enemy attacked the South with Shahed-type kamikaze drones.
At the same time, Humenyuk emphasized that energy facilities and critical infrastructure were again under attack, noting that the Russian military was trying to hit as many of these facilities as possible.
OC "South" reported that before the massive attack the enemy carried out "very powerful aerial reconnaissance." Humenyuk noted that the occupiers used a maximum of reconnaissance drones.
“We counted 140 reconnaissance officers in our area of responsibility. This again suggests that we need electronic warfare, because an ignorant enemy cannot be targeted and cannot conduct massive attacks,” the speaker said.
She also emphasized that Ukrainian defenders are powerfully countering Russian drones in the South.
Humenyuk added that even the occupiers themselves complain in their telegram channels that not every reconnaissance drone can fly even to the middle of the Dnipro.
