Bill No. 10449 on mobilization and military training will be submitted to the session hall of the Verkhovna Rada for voting sometime in mid-April. However, how long it will take to adopt it is not yet clear.
This assumption was made by People’s Deputy, Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence Roman Kostenko on Radio Liberty. He said this on Friday, March 29, when the Committee completed its consideration of parliamentary amendments to the bill.
“How long it will continue to be adopted is not clear. It will come into effect in a month. Therefore, this year will be a year of mobilization, while it is being shaken up, until the by-laws are created. This is what I predicted from the very beginning. But again, this does not mean" “that our mobilization has been stopped,” the people’s deputy emphasized.
Kostenko noted that the mobilization bill still has to go through committee amendments.
“Perhaps what was rejected at first will come back here and continue. Therefore, everything will be determined by the hall. Perhaps some edits will take place in the hall. Four thousand edits. Therefore, now drawing conclusions about what this bill is is purely for hype ", he summarized.
